Beginning Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. the City of Columbus will conduct maintenance work on the fiber line that Franklin County uses for Internet Connectivity.  FRANKLIN COUNTY WEBSITES AND COUNTY INTERNET ACCESSED SERVICES may experience some interruption during this weekend and up to 8 a.m. Monday, July 13.    

Clerk of Courts’ services that could be affected include e-Filing (eFLEX), Case Information Online (CIO) access, and access to information such as “Contact Us”, FAQs, location sites, resource links and listings. 


Effective July 15, 2015 Juvenile Traffic cases are being added to Juvenile’s collection of mandatory e-filed case types.  For all information related to Juvenile filings, see the revised Juvenile Administrative Order in effect June 30th, 2015

PASSPORT Applications continue to be processed.

BUT, Passport Camera Temporarily OUT-OF-ORDER.

Please bring passport photos with you upon your visit to our office. We can process your US PASSPORT APPLICATIONS; however, are not able to produce any photos on site at this time. Our camera requires maintenance and will not be available until further notice. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience. 


MARRIAGE Licenses are issued through another county office, PROBATE COURT, also located at
373 S. High St. 23rd Floor.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Franklin County Clerk's office serves individuals, businesses and organizations within and outside Franklin County through its professional management of all legal and auto title documents filed through the Court of Common Pleas, 10th District Court of Appeals, and the Clerk's Auto Title Division with sound business practices and financial accountability while providing Timely, Accurate and Courteous service.
The Franklin County Clerk of Courts' functions include: receiving, receipting, managing and retaining all legal documents filed through the Court of Common Pleas; processing vehicular titles; processing U.S. Passport applications and photos; and, recording notaries public's commissions. Staff's goal is to be timely, accurate, and courteous in daily transactions. More than 230 employees are document experts and professional in performing these tasks.
